This parameter specifies the total number of unsuccessful attempts at login (incorrect password) before a username is permanently blocked.

Once a username has been blocked, it can only be unblocked by a system administrator.

Please note that any attempts at logging in while the user is temporarily blocked are not counted in the total number of attempts.
