Front page › Parameters › Maximum login attempts | Search |
This parameter specifies the maximum number of unsuccessful attempts at login (incorrect password) before a username is temporarily blocked.
The username is initially blocked temporarily for the length of time specified by the “Duration of temporary blocking of user name” parameter. After this amount of time, the user can try again. However, a system administrator can deliberately remove the access block.
If the user has exceeded the number of unsuccessful attempts specified by the “Maximum total login attempts” parameter, the username is permanently blocked and must be unblocked by a system administrator.
Please note that any attempts at logging in while the user is temporarily blocked are not counted in the total number of attempts.
