Report: Titles with an ambiguous periodical status

This report shows titles that have copies both with and without periodical information.

IMMS receives periodical information from the LMS interface in the form of three values for each item: Year, number, and volume. Each of these fields can either be filled in or empty.

If there is just one copy of a title, which has periodical information listed, the entire title is treated as a periodical with respect to the automatic life cycle management, and the title will then never match a life cycle rule.

If only a portion of a title’s copies have periodical information, it may be a sign that there are errors in the item data. In particular, you should pay attention to items on the list which are not periodicals.

The following items are not included:

• Items not either home or on loan
• Items loaned from other libraries (ILL)
• Items that are excluded from IMMS
