This parameter specifies the priority of the media hotel and controls the order in which media hotels are filled.
When an item needs to be assigned to a media hotel, IMMS examines whether there is space at each of the different media hotels in turn. If the particular item has a fixed relationship, any preferred media hotel of the fixed branch is tried first (the “Preferred media hotel for fixed items” parameter). Then the various media hotels are checked in the order this parameter specifies for individual media hotels. Media hotels with smaller values are checked first.
All media hotels should have different values for this parameter (e.g., 1, 2, 3,...). If several media hotels have the same priority, the media hotel which the intelligent distribution algorithm would select becomes unpredictable.
The parameter can be set at all branches, but only affects those branches that are specified as media hotels via the “Branch is a media hotel” parameter.
