A sorting point is a logistical site where items are sorted for various destinations.
Sorting points appear in the physical version in various forms:
The sorting point is logically located at a branch, if needed, in a more precise location (e.g., a zone). A sorting point can be given a meaningful name, e.g., “Self-service, East branch”.
A sorting point has a number of chutes, where the sorted items end up when they are sorted.
Refer otherwise to the instructions on Configuration of sorting points and chutes.
